This applies to media Mail shipments only.  We also shipped any book that weighs less than 8 ounces by First-Class Mail, which offers faster delivery and better protection for these lighter books. Shipping terms:

All orders are shipped within 24- 48 hours, and are shipped with Conformation of Delivery at no additional charge.  E-mail confirmation of mailing is sent with the tracking number on all sales.  Sometimes, in hot summer months, we may only get one or two orders a day, so we ship on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.  We have had to adapt this system do to the current price increases of gasoline.  The post office is about 5 miles away.  Always, Priority mail orders are shipped the same day as received, when possible.

Store description:

  This actually is our second bookstore online.  Our first one was in a New Orleans suburb called Chalmette, and was washed out to sea, with Hurricane Katrina, on August 29, 2005.  We are now located in the Mississippi Delta 325 miles from the coast.  And if floods here, from a hurricane; God have mercy on us all!

   If there is one thing I learned in the antique business for 30+ years was that good looking merchandise sells, trash doesn’t…. Our Store is by e-commerce only… This is a full time occupation after retirement… …. Having once owned an antique shop and Mail order company, I place the value of good service; prompt shipping of goods, and good descriptions, above that almighty dollar.  All our books and items offered for sale are in good condition or better. … I DO NOT offer for sale items that are in poor condition, or overly soiled.... torn or ripped, missing pages, etc… soiled, mildewed.. Dog or kid chewed…   As a general rule, I do not sell book club edition, and when I do they are clearly marked… and then only if they are  older and scarcer or of quality.  I list all items for $2.95 and up … If they aren’t worth this, they are donated to nursing homes, charitable originations, churches and libraries … Thus they never are seen in these listings.  There are quite a few first edition novels in like new condition being offered for $2.95… I try to price Items at a fair price, I believe in value for service.
